Meadows of wild flowers, lush green trees growing along the hillsides in the spring and summer – their leaves turning to magnificent rich reds, bronze and golden colours in the autumn and rocky, snow-capped mountain peaks make up the unique scenery of the Pyrenees.
Capture images of a rich, and in some cases rare, variety of plants, flowers and animals in their natural, remote and wild settings. The surrounding mountains, abundant waterfalls, glistening mountain lakes and other geographical features provide an interesting spectrum of environments and new challenging subjects to capture. The peace and tranquillity that you will find in the mountains may help to inspire you to photograph the natural appearances of the Pyrenees landscape.
The rich architecture that can be found in the surrounding rural villages and the medieval hill-top village of St-Bertrand-de-Comminges provide a wealth of subjects to photograph.
There are also many opportunities to capture French rural life, from the bustling weekly markets to the more sedate game of Pétanque.
We are amateur photographers and are enthusiastic to share our knowledge of the area throughout the different seasons and can advise on suitable locations and timings, depending on your interest, allowing you to capture the beauty and culture of the Pyrenees. |
