About Us
Your hosts, Julie and Lee came to the Barousse Valley leaving the south coast of England behind and were attracted by the relaxed way of rural life in a beautiful setting, with easy access to some of the most spectacular mountainscapes and historic sites in the Pyrenees.
Coming from sporting backgrounds, Julie and Lee have explored the area on foot and by bike and have built up an extensive knowledge of the Pyrenees mountains and valleys, both on the French and Spanish side. Being outdoor enthusiasts, food plays an important role in our lives. We strive to be as self-sufficient as possible, growing vegetables from seed and managing all of our land, including fruit trees biodynamically. |
Julie looks after our very friendly chickens who are definitely part of our family and are always eager to greet our guests too. The girls provide us, on a daily basis, with the most wonderful eggs. Lee cycles each morning to buy the bread and croissants for breakfast. You may also see him on his bike, cycling to buy fresh ingredients direct from local producers that are needed for our meals.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home and sharing our experiences and knowledge of this tranquil area of the Pyrenees with you.
